This Privacy Policy explains how CV Buddy handles information when you create, scan, generate, export, or share a CV.
CV Buddy stores the details you enter to create a CV, such as your name, phone number, email, address, nationality, ID or passport details, date of birth, work experience, education, projects, skills, languages, social links, portfolio links, profile photo, and generated PDF files.
The app asks for microphone access for voice input, camera access for taking photos or scanning documents, and photo or storage access for selecting images and saving PDF files. These permissions are used only for the CV creation features you choose to use.
If you use AI writing features, the CV text you provide may be sent to configured AI providers such as Gemini or Groq to generate or improve summaries, experience descriptions, education descriptions, skill suggestions, and professional CV content.
Do not enter information you do not want processed by those services.
Document scanning is used to read text from selected images or camera captures so you can fill CV fields faster. OCR results are used inside the app for your CV. Scanner results can be incorrect, so you should review them before saving.
CV Buddy uses Google Mobile Ads to show ads. Google Mobile Ads may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app activity, diagnostics, and ad interaction data according to Google policies.
Firebase is used for app settings, update controls, and crash reporting. Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash diagnostics such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash stack traces, and diagnostic logs to help us fix app stability problems.
Firebase Analytics collection is disabled for now. The current release does not use Firebase login or cloud storage for CV data.
Saved CVs, settings, selected photos, and PDFs are stored on your device unless you choose a feature that sends text for AI generation, watch or load ads through Google Mobile Ads, or choose to share/export a PDF.
CV Buddy does not sell your CV information.
You can deny optional permissions, delete saved CVs from the app, delete exported files from your device, avoid AI features if you do not want CV text sent for generation, and control ad personalization through your device or Google settings.
CV Buddy is made for job seekers and is not directed to children. Children should not use the app without permission from a parent or guardian.
